Homemade Beef Jerky

Homemade Jerky is so delicious. It's a lot cheaper to make yourself. The best part, is you don't have to accept purchasing inferior products with artificial additives and preservatives. 

Ingredients

  • 3-4 pounds Lean Beef
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup Worscestershire
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp Red Pepper Flakes More if you want spicier
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Onion Flakes
  • 2 Tbsp Liquid Smoke

Instructions

  • Any lean cut of beef will work. London Broil, Top Round Etc. Place meat in freezer for a few hours to make slicing easier. Slice as thin as possible.  Add all your liquid and spice ingredients to a gallon zip-lock or glass dish  Add meat to your liquid and marinate overnight.  Lay meat out in a single layer in your dehydrator. Dehydrate according to your specific dehydrator's instructions. I have an Excalibur and my jerky is dry within 6-7 hours. Other units may take up to 24 hours or even longer.
